My AI Confession: From Fear to Fascination

Quick confession: Just a few years ago, I was an AI nay-sayer. I really was. Life threw a curveball, and I found myself working part-time online as a safety checker for chatbots. And honestly? It scared me. I saw the dangers, the glitches, and the potential for misuse. My internal mantra was, "I will never trust AI. It's dangerous."

But here's the thing about technology, and about life: it evolves. And so did my perspective. When I decided to launch Calm Over Chaos Virtual Office, I knew I needed to stay current, to leverage every tool responsibly. So, I took a deep dive into virtual classes focused on using AI ethically and effectively. It was a revelation. I realized AI wasn't the monster I'd imagined; it was a powerful, evolving tool that, when wielded correctly, could transform how we work.

The Human Touch: Why Responsible AI is the Future

This journey led me to a four-week intensive training to become CAIVA (Certified AI Integrated Virtual Assistant) certified, through Front Row Accelerator. Did it break my brain? It felt like it! But in the best possible way. It wasn't just about learning the tech; it was about understanding how to integrate AI as a "helper", not a crutch. It taught me that the human touch, your unique insight and expertise, is still absolutely essential.

I'm incredibly proud to be part of a community that champions using AI with respect, ethics, and a clear understanding of its boundaries. My goal now is to help you navigate this exciting, sometimes overwhelming, landscape. To show you how AI can be a powerful ally in reducing your overwhelm and creating more room to grow, without losing that vital human element that makes your business "yours".

This isn't about replacing you, it's about empowering you.

I love Wavebox browser

I Must Really Like The Wavebox.io Browser Julie Mathews Virtual Assistant Aug 4, 2026Issue No: 10 I was advocating for using Chrome tabs, tab groups and bookmark organization not too long ago to keep browser clutter down. But now, the Wavebox.io browser has become my default browser. I was overwhelmed when I first tried to use it, but now I use it all of the time. Wavebox solved two problems for me. It was hard for me to see and read tabs, grouped tabs, and saves time from opening windows and...

Drowning In Social

Permission To Quit A Social Platform Julie Mathews Virtual Assistant July 22, 2026Issue No: 9 If you have been feeling guilty about not posting on every platform, I am giving you permission to let one go, maybe even two. I get it, and here is what I'm learning. There are a couple platforms I really don't care for. However, when researching my target markets, I found that they use those two platforms quite regularly. Chomping at the bit, I activated accounts. Ooops. I have three platforms that...

Your Ingredient List Might Be In The Wrong Order Julie Mathews Virtual Assistant July 11, 2026Issue No: 8 It's Easy To Get Tripped Up Quick question. I’ll gear this towards human food since it’s more relatable than talking pet food, however, this applies to any food consumed by people or animals. Here’s your question: If your jam recipe calls for 2 cups of sugar and 1 pound of strawberries, which ingredient goes first on your label? If you said sugar because it comes first in your recipe, you...
